About Croft Circuit

Croft Circuit is a well-established motor racing venue located in North Yorkshire near Dalton-on-Tees. Originally used as a wartime airfield, Croft became a permanent racing circuit in the 1960s and has since developed into one of the UK’s fastest and most respected national venues. The current 2.125-mile layout combines long high-speed sections with a tight technical infield, offering a balanced challenge for both cars and motorcycles. The circuit is particularly known for demanding braking zones, fast direction changes and the flowing Jim Clark Esses sequence. Croft hosts a busy annual calendar including the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), British GT, historic racing, motorcycle racing, club championships and extensive public track day activity. Its northern location makes it a hub for motorsport in Yorkshire, the North East and Scotland. The circuit is owned and operated by the British Automobile Racing Club (BARC) and is widely used for racing, testing, driver training and track experiences throughout the season.
